Plan Your Visit
What can I expect when visiting Southside?

Though Glasgow is a warm and friendly community, we recognize the challenges of finding a church for those who relocate here or for those new to the faith. Here are answers to a few common questions that are asked. We invite you to explore our page to learn more about us.

- What is it like?

Southside is a loving church who welcomes all guests.  Whether young, old, or somewhere inbetween, we look forward to seeing new faces as they walk in the door!

- What about my kids?

We have childcare and activties for children of all ages on both Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. There are Sunday School classes for all grades during the 9:15 hour as well as nursery classes for birth-Pre-K ages during both the Sunday School hour as well as the Worship Service. We also offer a Children's Church during the Worship Service for those up to 9 years old.

Our youth also meet during the Sunday School hour. We offer a middle school as well as a high school class. Each class walks through a portion of the Bible each week, prays, and learns how to grow in Christ.

On Wednesday nights, we have a Kids on Mission class for ages K-6th Grade that walks through a Bible Story, memorizes Scripture, and learns about missionaries serving around the world.

Our youth gather on Wednesdays so that they can study the Bible, share prayer requests, and encourage one another.

Feel free to browse our Ministries page to learn more about how your children can be involved.

- Where do I park?

We have two entrances to our parking lot. One is directly off of Scottsville Rd and another off of Bishop Lane. There is ample parking all around our building.

- Where do I go when I get here?

The main building in the center is our Sanctuary. It is the entry point for all buidlings. It is where we worship and also holds an adult Sunday School class. In the back hall of the sanctuary is the youth area as well as our Young Adults class.

The building on the right is our Education Building. Here you will find classes for children as well another class for adults. You have access to this building from the Sanctuary.

The building on the left that is currently under conctruction is our future Fellowship Hall. It is due to be completed around Thanksgiving. Upon completion it will host one of the adult classes as well as a variety of church functions. We look forward to it being finished!

- What do I wear?

We encourage you to dress as you feel comfortable. You will find a variety of attire when visiting Southside. Many of our senior adults may wear a coat and/or a tie while our youger adults may wear a more casual polo. Either way we will be glad to see you!
